After losing in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. UAB knew it was time to continue to pick up great pieces via recruiting and the transfer portal.
Last year, UAB got Jordan "Jelly" Walker via the transfer portal from Tulane and what a impact he had on this Blazers team. Walker was just great this season averaging 20.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.9 assists for the Blazers.
The Blazers were successful last year from the transfer portal and the commitments they got today should have a similar impact to Jelly Walker.
The Blazers picked up Ty Brewer and Ledarrius Brewer from East Tennessee State.
We will start with Ledarrius Brewer. Ledarrius Brewer averaged 14.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists for the Buccaneers. And they also got Ty Brewer. Ty Brewer averaged 10.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.0 assists for the Buccaneers. They both have been very consistent while in Johnson City.
I have a feeling they both while have a great impact just like Jordan "Jelly" Walker and will make a run in March.
