Welcome to another edition of #TheGameBallšŸˆ. Our Oregon Ducks were able to score enough points this week to get past those pesky Bruins of UCLA 38-35. There are several worthy candidates for the Game Ball this week, so let’s take a look at our candidates!

First the most obvious is QB Tyler Shough who had his best game as an Oregon Duck. Shough went 19/30 for 334 yards and 3 TD passes. Great numbers for the young QB. Second candidate, TE Hunter Kampmoyer who returned this week from injuries, had 5 receptions for 70 yards and 1 TD. On the defensive side of the ball, DB Jordan Happle who led the defense in tackles at 11 and had 1 INT which he returned for a Touchdown. Happle was a major signing for the program as he was already familiar with a Coach Avalos' defense, playing for the Coach at Boise State previously allowing him to plug and play. Last choice is WR Devon Williams, the transfer from USC. Williams, the tall athletic wideout, had 6 receptions, 123 yards and 1 TD with an average of 20.5 yard per catch.

This week #TheGameBallšŸˆ goes to wide out Devon Williams. Duck fans have longed for a legitimate #1 WR to help out Duck quarterbacks for several years now. After the game, Head Coach Mario Cristobal told reporters that he probably hasn’t been harder on any one player then he has on Williams. The Coach further stated that Williams is beginning to understand he has to go hard every rep, and when a player has as much talent as Williams, that it's cheating the gift if he isn’t going as hard as he can during every rep and every practice. There is an excellent possibility that Oregon has found that #1 receiver in Williams and fans can expect a stand out season from Williams moving forward.
