The U is Back

You’ve been hearing that saying for the past 10 years. Well, I am here to tell you THE U IS BACK. In the words of a kid who picked Miami to win the natty at +14.5k odds, “The QB is a gotdamn stud and the defense is highly motivated with the new and improved turnover chain.” I have to agree that D’Eriq King looks like an absolute beast. He has made little to no mistakes in the Canes’ first three games. This guy is friggin electric. He flashes a strong arm as well as an ability to get yards on the ground. He has definitely put himself into the Heisman conversation.

Let’s get to the most intriguing thing about Miami: THE TURNOVER CHAIN. Imagine what it’s like to flex that many rocks after stealing the rock from your opponent. Apparently, the new turnover chain sports a 10 karat gold, 32-inch Cuban link in addition to the approximately 1,900 white sapphires. Holy crap. The chain features the state of Florida with the “U” on top of it. If I was playing on that defense, you can bet your sweet bippy that I would be doing everything I could do to take the ball away from the opponent. Just think about what it would be like to flex a reportedly six figure piece of jewelry at the beginning of your highlight video. Maybe with some Kodak Black bumping too. Manny Diaz has got that defense looking right.

The Hurricanes have ACC top dog Clemson on their schedule next. After Clemson looked a bit off against UVa, watch out for the Canes to make a splash against the Tigers. If the Canes can pull off the upset, they will immediately launch themselves into the conversation for the College Football Playoff. D’Eriq King would also solidify his spot in the race for the Heisman. The U is back baby.
