Can the Ducks go the distance?

The new-look WBB team is set to start play on Nov. 28 against Seattle University. Let's take a look at what to expect from this season. The Oregon Women's team has huge shoes to fill after a season that most believe would have ended with them cutting down the nets in New Orleans. Coach Kelly Graves has to replace 3 WNBA Top Ten draft picks, arguably the greatest college player ever in Sabrina Ionescu, superstar Ruthy Hebard, consistent scorer Satou Sabally, and a big time playmaker in Miynon Moore.

Coach Graves will seek to win the Pac12 once again and make a deep run in the tournament with 5 of the top 35 players coming out of high school, and some very experienced upperclassmen. Sydney Parrish, the 10th ranked player by ESPN, should add some more offensive strength along with 15th ranked Kylee Watson, 19th ranked Maddie Scherr, 24th ranked Angela Dugalic, and 33rd ranked Te-Hina Paopao. Taylor Chavez, who played great last season, Jaz Shelley, and Erin Boley will provide the much needed continuity from last year. To round out the roster is 6'7" Sedona Prince who finally gets to show what she has after sitting out her first two years. As hard as it is to believe, this team has a chance to be as good, if not better, than the 2019-2020 squad. Oregon should recapture the magic once again and complete the mission they set out on last year. #GoDucks
