Bob Huggins returns a special team this year with aspirations of winning it all

Imagine April 5th clock hits all zeros and you hear Jim Nantz (or whoever just go with it) announce "Huggy's done it & The Mountaineers of West Virginia (you know the announcers say shit like that all the time) are your National Champions!! "... Chills am I right?! Well here's how that could actually happen.....

You're right J.P., it could happen, and one of the reasons is gonna be our paint defense. Oscar Tshiebwe (projected 1st rounder) & Derek Culver have a year together so the chemistry and timing will be perfect for those two. Especially perfect if they're looking for a lot of pick & roll and run outs plus with some new additions like Isaiah Cotrell who averaged 19 points 9.5 rebounds and 2 blocks per game last year for Coach Arkell Bruce & Huntington Prep, another Huntington prep player and still current teammate to Cotrell. Seny Ndiaye is averaging 5 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game. To me it seem like there's a hidden element to Ndiaye's game: there are just some stats you can't record and that's the hustle stats folks. Taj Thweatt, who averaged 18 points and 7 rebounds per game last year, is someone else to be excited about. He's a shooter with a hot hand. Thweatt shot 36 percent from three last year so it's always nice when you have players who can score as automatically as him.

Want more proof?! We have depth at the Guard position too with guys like Miles McBride (another projected 1st rounder) who played 31 games last year averaging 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists per game. It seemed like he was just getting started in the win over No.4 Baylor last year (projected as one of the teams in the Big12 championship game this year), dropping 12 in that game and a further 21 against No.2 Ohio State. I mean c'mon he's a killer so don't push him! The Mountaineers will have their mettle tested this year as 5 of the top 10 Kenpom teams are in the Big 12, but this could very well be our year. I can throw names and stats at you till I'm blue in the face but this team is truly loaded; don't be surprised when the confetti falls and the final game has been played, Huggy is hanging that banner in Morgantown.
