AP Poll Predictions: Week 6

A multitude of ranked teams falling will cause a lot of shift in the back end of the rankings. We Have a new number one as well, who is it?

Dropped from rankings: #11 UCF, #16 Mississippi State, #18 Oklahoma, #24 Pittsburgh, #25 Memphis

#25 Iowa State- W 37-30 vs #18 OK. The Cyclones pulled off their first win over Oklahoma in Ames since 1960

#24 Minnesota- N/R

#23 Louisiana- N/R

#22 SMU- W 30-27 vs #25 Memphis. The Stangs blew a huge early lead but held on to improve to 4-0

#21 Texas- L 31-33 vs TCU. The Horns had a chance to win but fumbled on the 1 yd line, last week was a warning

#20 Virginia Tech- W 38-31 vs Duke. The Hokies move to 2-0 but had some difficulties handling Duke

#19 Texas A&M- L 24-52 vs #2 Alabama. The Aggies kept it close to begin but lacked the firepower to keep up

#18 Michigan- N/A

#17 BYU- W 45-14 vs Louisiana Tech. The Cougs' point differential through three games is 148 to 24. Impressive

#16 LSU- W 41-7 vs Vanderbilt. It took a minute for the Tigers to get going but they eventually piled it on Vandy

#15 Tennessee- W 35-12 vs Missouri. The Vols are dominant behind that incredible O-Line

#14 Wisconsin- N/A

#13 Oklahoma State- W 47-7 vs Kansas. The Pokes' offense is now in full tilt even without QB Spencer Sanders

#12 Cincinnati- W 28-7 vs USF. After UCFs loss Cincy remains the highest ranked G5 team & best hope for playoff

#11 Auburn- L 6-27 vs #4 Georgia. The Tigers couldn't find any offensive rhythm and were dominated up front

#10 Oregon- N/A

#9 North Carolina- W 26-22 vs Boston College. Closer than it should have been but Mack Brown moves to 2-0

#8 Penn State- N/A

#7 Miami- N/A

#6 Notre Dame- N/A

#5 Ohio State- N/A

#4 Florida- W 38-24 vs South Carolina. USC could have cut it to one score at the end, UF needs help on defense

#3 Georgia- W 27-6 vs #7 Auburn. The Dawgs came out hot, brutalizing Auburn in the trenches. Stetson Bennett IV performed admirably

#2 Clemson- W 41-23 vs Virginia. Clemson remains on cruise control, however they did give up over 400 yards on defense.

#1 Alabama- W 52-24 vs #13 Texas A&M. With the biggest win of the day, Bama showed they are every bit the title contender as previous years, throttling A&M. For that they move into the first place slot.
